An SVG is a vector: scale it to any size — a billboard or a business card — with zero quality loss, and edit its colors and paths in design apps like Illustrator.
Does it work with Arabic calligraphy?
Yes, beautifully — letters, diacritics and ornaments are traced as precise, editable paths ready for print at any size.
Do photos convert into an identical vector?
Realistic photos become a flat poster-art style — no technology in the world turns a photo into an identical vector, because vectors are by nature color regions and paths.

Does it really work offline?

What image resolution should I use?
Sharper is better. Aim for at least 1000px on the longest side, with clean edges and a plain background. Heavily compressed or tiny images make the tracer follow compression noise instead of real edges, which produces jagged paths.
Why is my SVG file bigger than the original image?
Because each shape is stored as a mathematical path. Photos and gradients produce thousands of paths. For a smaller file, use the Simplified preset or lower Detail level to reduce the number of colour regions and paths.
Can I edit the colors before downloading?
Yes. After converting, the palette lists every color layer. Click a swatch to recolour it — shading is preserved — or hide a layer to drop it entirely, such as removing a background before export.
Can I use the SVG files for Cricut or laser cutting?
Yes. The output is standard SVG that imports into Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, and laser software. Use the Logo / Text preset for the cleanest cut paths, and remove the background layer first.
Do I own the converted files? Is there a watermark?
12pixa adds no watermark or usage restrictions to the generated SVG. Your right to use the result depends on the rights you hold in the source image.
Which file formats can I convert?
PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and BMP. You can also paste an image directly with Ctrl+V. Output is always SVG, which opens in Illustrator, Inkscape, Figma and any modern browser.
